Aberlour Family Support Centre - Langlees

Langlees Family Centre is a community base for a range of trauma-informed Aberlour services supporting children, young people, women and families across Falkirk. The Centre itself is not a standalone service but provides access to several community-based supports tailored to the differing needs of individuals and families.

Services operating from the centre include Falkirk Family Support Service, Primary Years Outreach Service, Routes, Sustain, Equally Safe, Intensive Perinatal and Perinatal Befriending.

Support is available for children and young people aged 0–26, parents, women and families experiencing challenges including anxiety, stress, emotional distress, domestic abuse, self-harm, trauma, family relationship difficulties, substance use impacts and mental health and wellbeing concerns.

Our services aim to provide compassionate, person centred, relationship-based support which builds on individual and family strengths, promotes safety and wellbeing, and empowers people to make informed decisions about the support they receive. Interventions are tailored to the needs of each individual or family and may include emotional and practical support, advocacy, early intervention, parenting support, peer connection and support recovery-focused work.

Referrals and eligibility criteria vary across each service. Supports available from Aberlour Langlees Family Centre include early intervention family support, outreach support for children and young people, domestic abuse services, perinatal support, edge of care family support, substance-use recovery family support and peer-based wellbeing support.
